Biography
Artist Statement
My name is Corey Knollinger and I'm an award winning filmmaker, and audio storyteller from Wheeling, West Virginia. I currently work as a Video Production Specialist at EPB in Chattanooga, TN. As part of my role there, I produce internal and external videos, as well as motion graphics for our window displays, and radio advertisements. Prior to working at EPB, I worked at WVPB where I produced both audio and video documentaries including a 20 minute audio documentary following two high school students while they raise pigs to auction off at their county's ham, bacon and egg show, and an award winning 26 minute video documentary on a politician in Northern West Virginia who made history for being the first openly trans elected official in WV state history. After leaving WVPB, I produced Raise Your Hand for the NETA Award winning station WTCI Educate.
In my free time, I like to cook, play music, and I organize as part of Chattanooga's Democratic Socialists of America, where I am currently their secretary and head of their mutual aid working group.

As an artist, I strive to tell compelling, well thought out, and well presented stories that captivate my audience, and make them really empathize with the subject, no matter how foreign the story may be to them. I want my art to make my viewer either feel something, learn something, or both.
A story is only as good as its characters, and I believe with enough time, patience, and care, everyone is a good character. I want to bring a human connection through my art. Art, when done correctly, is a window to a world the viewer doesn't understand, and my goal is to provide as clear a window as I can.
